    Unused, non-custom label kits may be returned within 14 days for a full refund (excluding shipping costs). Customised labels are non-refundable once approved and produced.

    Yes - we stand behind the quality of our materials. If you experience a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 30 days of delivery to arrange a replacement or refund.

  • Can I order multiple kits for different jobs?

  • How long does shipping take?

  • What materials are your labels made from?
    Our labels are manufactured from premium Lasermax 2-ply micro-surfaced acrylic (traffolyte-type) materials, UV-stable and designed for long-term outdoor use in Australian conditions. Labels are precision laser engraved and backed with high-performance 3M 468MP industrial adhesive for secure application. For specific applications we also offer reflective vinyl and additional weatherproof materials where required.
  • Why is it still called “Traffolyte” even though it’s not made from the original material?
    The term Traffolyte originally referred to a phenolic resin laminate first developed in the 1920s. While the original Traffolyte material is no longer manufactured, the name has remained in common industry use to describe 2-ply and 3-ply engraving laminates used for durable labels and signage. Today, we use modern Lasermax micro-surfaced acrylic, which offers superior durability, UV stability, and outdoor performance compared to original phenolic Traffolyte. Even though the material has advanced, many installers, electricians, and fabricators still refer to it as “Traffolyte” simply out of habit - it’s become the widely accepted trade name for engraved labelling sheets. Rest assured, while the name has stuck, our labels are manufactured using high-grade, modern acrylic materials specifically designed for harsh Australian conditions.
  • How long do your labels last?
    Our labels are designed for long-term outdoor durability, even in harsh Australian conditions. The Lasermax micro-surfaced acrylic is UV stable, fade resistant, and chemically resistant, while the 3M 468MP industrial adhesive provides permanent, secure bonding on a wide range of surfaces. Under normal outdoor exposure, labels can be expected to maintain their integrity and legibility for 5–10+ years, depending on environmental factors and installation conditions.
  • Do you offer custom label sizes or text?
    Yes - all of our labels can be fully customised. We can adjust label text, sizes, colours, layouts and even standards compliance to suit your specific project. Whether you need minor text changes or entirely custom label kits, simply contact us to discuss your requirements and we’ll tailor a solution to your install.
  • Are your label kits compliant with Australian standards?
    Yes. All our solar, battery, and electrical label kits are designed to meet current Australian Standards, including: AS/NZS 5033:2021 - Photovoltaic (PV) Array Installation, which became mandatory from May 2022, introducing updated PV cable and enclosure labelling requirements. AS/NZS 5139:2019 - Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), covering safety, installation, and specific battery hazard labelling. AS/NZS 4777.1:2024 - Inverter Energy Systems (adopted in NSW and transitioning nationally, with full adoption required by February 2025), which includes new labelling for inverters, EV connections, and IPSDs. Each pack is specifically built for installer compliance, with updates applied as standards change to ensure ongoing alignment with Clean Energy Council and state regulatory requirements.
  • Do your labels meet South Australian solar regulations?
    Yes. Our solar, battery, and electrical label kits are meticulously designed to comply with both national and South Australian-specific regulations. They adhere to the latest Australian Standards, ensuring full compliance for installations across South Australia: AS/NZS 5033:2021 – Installation and safety requirements for photovoltaic (PV) arrays, mandatory since May 2022. This standard introduces updated labelling requirements for PV cables and enclosures, including the use of distinctive "SOLAR" labels on PV d.c. cables not installed directly behind and adjacent to the PV modules . AS/NZS 5139:2019 – Electrical installations – Safety of battery systems for use with power conversion equipment, which outlines safety and hazard labelling requirements for battery energy storage systems (BESS). AS/NZS 4777.1:2024 – Grid connection of energy systems via inverters – Installation requirements, currently in a transition phase with full compliance required by February 2025. This standard includes new labelling requirements for inverters, electric vehicle (EV) connections, and inverter power supply devices (IPSDs). South Australian Specific Requirements: In addition to national standards, South Australia has specific regulations to ensure the safety and efficiency of solar installations: Safety Signage: Systems must have labels clearly identifying switches (isolators) controlling the main electricity supply, solar panels (DC), inverter unit (AC), and batteries (DC). Additionally, a label on the main switchboard and meter box should indicate multiple energy sources, and a sign explaining the type of battery installed is required. Smarter Homes Regulations: Since September 28, 2020, South Australia has implemented regulations requiring new solar systems to have capabilities such as voltage ride-through, remote disconnection and reconnection, and export limit settings. These are aimed at enhancing grid stability and safety. Our label kits are regularly updated to reflect these evolving standards and regulations, ensuring that installers in South Australia can achieve compliance with both national and local requirements.
